Macro Butterfly, Horniman Museum Butterfly House | Forest Hill, London | Sony A6300

Over the pandemic I discovered the joys of macrophotography - as we weren't able to go out and shoot landscapes, I spent a lot of time in our garden, shooting the much smaller landscapes that arthropods exist in.
Post-pandemic, with extension tubes in hand, we went to the butterfly house at Forest Hill's Horniman Museum (famous for its taxidermied walrus). Here I had considerably more success with extreme close ups of butterflies than I ever managed in our garden.
Although at this distance, they're considerably more terrifying.
