Agapostemon Sweat Bee, Nelson | BC, Canada | Sony A7RIV
Whilst staying in Nelson, I had the excellent experience of wandering around our host's garden, taking pictures of its various tiny denizens. The stars were these emerald Sweat Bees.
This fellow disappeared into this partially closed flower head, and I waited for what felt like an age for him to reappear, hoping for a characterful shot as he emerged. Fortunately he obliged, preening his antenna before flying off to his next appointment.
