Edible-nest Swiftlets, Ranau | Borneo, Malaysia | Nikon D5200

En route from Sandakhan back to Kota Kinabalu, we stopped in Ranau. The elevation and humidity means that the area is prone to storms, and as the dark clouds rolled in, a flock of edible-nest swiftlets flew in to the centre of town.
Suddenly all horizontal surfaces above 6 feet became occupied by swiftlets, the air filled with the sounds of their chittering.
