After seeing a number of humpback whales, the boat continued on over the Strait of Georgia, where we came across this group of sea lions, basking in the late afternoon sun.
With the rising of the tide, the sea lions were pushed into ever closer quarters, leading to noisy altercations. I feel it has an 'accidental renaissance' quality to it.
