The proboscis monkey is so named for the very large nose that the males sport. 

The fact that the population is being pushed into closer quarters means that there's more risk of confrontations. We witnessed the aftermath of one such incident, with a morose monkey with half of his cheek torn off, that was being cared for at the centre. That would be too gnarly to feature, so here's a different monkey.
