After a hair-raising gondola ride up Sulfur Mountain (not because it was particularly unpleasant, but because I'm a coward where heights are involved), we were greeted with the sweeping views of the mountains beyond.
Between the changing of the larches in the previous weeks, the first snows of the season in the prior days, and the sun fighting its way through the clouds to illuminate the ridges opposite, this felt like we were very much in the right place at the right time.
